Before installing the AddThisEvent stack onto your computer, you must first download it from the NimbleHost website.
After completing a purchase on the NimbleHost website, we will provide two ways for you to download your items:
After following these steps, the next time you start RapidWeaver the AddThisEvent stack will be located in the Stacks library, which is accessible from any Stacks page.
In Stacks 2, update notifications are displayed with a small red symbol in the lower right corner of the AddThisEvent icon in the Stacks Library. Once that red symbol has appeared, select AddThisEvent, then apply the update by clicking on the small gear icon in the lower right corner of the Stacks Library, and selecting "Install Update".
Please Note: In Stacks 2, updates may take a few minutes to appear. According to Isaiah, the developer for Stacks, this is by design, so that checking for updates doesn't interrupt your workflow. You may need to restart RapidWeaver before the update will show up, and it may take 5-10 minutes before displaying depending on the size of your Stacks Library.
The AddThisEvent stack is provided free of charge and is a simple way for RapidWeaver users to take advantage of the AddThisEvent button available at http://addthisevent.com, without needing to mess with any code.
According to the AddThisEvent website personal, school, and non-profit use of AddThisEvent is free. Commercial use requires a license which can be purchased from the AddThisEvent website directly.
In stack settings there is a License field where you can enter your license after you've purchased one from the AddThisEvent website.
The event settings for the AddThisEvent stack are self-explanatory. You can specify the event title, summary, description, starting and ending times, as well as indicating whether the event is an all-day event or not. In addition, you can specify a location, the event organizer as well as the organizer's email. Timezone, date formatting, and event URL options are also available.
All the event detail settings are optional, but as indicated on the AddThisEvent website, it is recommended that you specify a title and starting/ending dates at minimum.
The AddThisEvent stack will create a button that will display a number of calendar options. You can control which calendar options are displayed (choosing from Outlook, Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, iCal, and Facebook) as well as the text that is displayed for each calendar option.
Only the calendar options that are checked will be displayed by the AddThisEvent button.
