How do I restore a theme that Waterfall has backed up for me?

Waterfall saves your updated theme in its "Backups" folder, and is named something like this:

If you are using RW6, the Backups folder is located here:

~/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6/Data/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/Waterfall/Backups

If you are using RW5, the Backups folder is located here:

~/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/Waterfall/Backups

By default, the "Library" folder on your mac is hidden. You can access it with the following steps:

  1. Click on the Finder icon in the Dock
  2. In the Finder menu, click on "Go"
  3. Press and hold down the "option" key on your keyboard
  4. With your mouse, select "Library"

At that point a new Finder window will appear, and you can access the folders specified above.

Once you have navigated to the Backups folder, and found your theme backup file, follow these steps:

  1. Click once on your theme backup file.
  2. Wait a few seconds.
  3. Click once more on your theme backup file.
  4. At that point, the file name will become editable. Remove the "_backup_2015-01-30_00-00-00" portion of the filename.
  5. The Finder will prompt you if you want to continue. Make sure you select the button which changes the filename extension, so that it is just .rwtheme or .rapidweavertheme
  6. At that point, your backup file should change from a folder, to a RWTheme icon
  7. Double-click on the theme file, and RapidWeaver will install it for you, replacing the updated version Waterfall installed for you.
  8. Restart RapidWeaver to make sure the theme is available for use.
