These developers either already have themes which support Waterfall, or are working on adding support.
Please note: if you have a theme version from a supported developer, and it is not showing up with update information in Waterfall, that most likely means you'll need to update to the latest versions as specified by the dates above.
Waterfall requires certain information in order to check for and install updates for you. This is information that probably was not included in previous versions of your themes.
Many theme developers have updated their themes to provide this information, but if you have an older copy of a theme installed, Waterfall won't recognize it until the latest version of that theme is installed.
Once the latest versions of your themes from supported developers are all installed, Waterfall will then be able to check for and install all future updates for you.
Waterfall saves your updated theme in its "Backups" folder, and is named something like this:

By default, the "Library" folder on your mac is hidden. You can access it with the following steps:
At that point a new Finder window will appear, and you can access the folders specified above.
Once you have navigated to the Backups folder, and found your theme backup file, follow these steps:

Waterfall doesn't display any content, but will appear as a menu item in your site navigation if the "Show in Navigation" option is enabled.
You can disable the "Show in Navigation" option via the Page Inspector, in the General tab.
Currently, Waterfall only recognizes themes which are located in the "Themes" directory of the main RapidWeaver folder where all third party addons are stored.
If your themes are kept in a different location, they will not appear in Waterfall. As such, please make sure they are moved to the "Themes" directory, which is located on your computer here, and where RapidWeaver installs new themes by default:
If you need or prefer to have your themes located somewhere else on your computer (like the main RapidWeaver directory), please contact us and provide more details so that we can look at adding such functionality to Waterfall in a future update.
Please contact us and send any errors shown in the system log. Here are steps to do so:
First, restart RapidWeaver. Then open a project file, and add a Waterfall page. Then:
Click on Finder in the Dock.
From the Go menu, choose Utilities.
Double-click the Console application.
Click on All Messages at the left of the window.
In the Search field (upper right corner) type in "RapidWeaver" minus the quotes.
If any recent error messages are displayed, select them (or choose Edit ‣ Select All).
Note: You may need to click the Earlier button at the bottom of the window to find errors that did not occur recently.
Choose File ‣ Save Selection As… and save the file as
My Log.log on your desktop.
Drag this file into your e-mail message to attach it.
Yes. Before installing an update, Waterfall backs up the existing theme in a separate directory (the
Waterfall/Backups directory, located next to the Waterfall plugin itself).
This way, updates are "non-destructive". If you need to restore to a prior version, or move some customizations from the old version to the new version, you'll still have a copy to do so.
After Waterfall is installed, open a RapidWeaver project file and add a new Waterfall page.
From there, open the Page Inspector and select the plug tab (the one with the gear icon), then click on the "Activation" tab and input your serial number in the text field shown there.
Finally, click on the "Activate" button, and a "Success!" message should be displayed.
Waterfall will display a triangular red icon, with an exclamation point, in the "Update Status" column of a theme when there is an update available.
To update, use your mouse to select that theme from the list, then click on the "Install Selected Update" button in the top right corner.
Waterfall will then proceed with the update, making sure to backup the existing theme first, and display the updated information when it is complete.
